National Campaign Houses 100,000 People with Help from Dallas-based CitySquare

The national 100,000 Homes Campaign celebrated the 100,000th person to move into permanent housing this week.

This follows four years of working to help more than 200 cities across the country house some of the most vulnerable chronically homeless men and women, including veterans. Their goal was to make it to 100,000 homes by the end of July. As of this week, the campaign helped 101,628 find permanent homes, including more than 30,000 veterans.

Local nonprofit CitySquare led the Dallas-Fort Worth area team, housing more than 600 veterans in Dallas and Tarrant Counties from 2013-2014.
